EveryChild leads community efforts to eliminate child abuse and neglect by strengthening children and families through prevention, education and treatment.
As I reflect on my first year as Executive Director of EveryChild, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. It is an honor and a privilege to lead an organization that thrives thanks to the unwavering support of our donors and community partners like you. Your commitment to healthy, safe childhoods for every child in our community has been instrumental in our mission, enabling us to make meaningful progress in preventing and addressing child abuse.
EveryChild continues to be a leading agency in this critical area, and I believe that preventing child abuse is a community effort that requires collective action. Together, we envision a community where every child is raised in a safe and nurturing environment. Your support not only sustains our programs but empowers us to reach more families and foster lasting change.
Thank you for being an integral part of this journey. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.
With Gratitude,
Nicole Mann
Prevention
-
Taught by dads, for dads. Led by volunteers, the only program of its kind specifically for fathers preparing to meet the challenges of fatherhood.
-
A 12-week parenting development and support program open to all fathers, taught by nationally certified Quad Cities dads.
-
Doulas help expectant families with education and support, emphasizing attachment and bonding to ensure the best start for the family.
-
We are grateful for our military heroes. We support our U.S. Army Service men and women and their families through the Family Connections program by decreasing isolation and increasing community connections and family bonding.
-
New parents receive accredited home visitation services to help build parent confidence and create safe, nurturing home environments.
-
Partnerships with local preschools help provide children, teachers and parents with information they need to stay safe and prevent child sex abuse.
Education
-
Delivering high-quality community education and training to professionals and parents, this program puts the adults in our community at the forefront of prevention and reinforces their responsibility in preventing childhood trauma.
-
A community collaboration formed to prioritize partnerships, the Network supports and reflects community needs to address service barriers and ensure healthy starts for children ages 0-5 in our community.
-
A CASA is an everyday citizen, specially trained to advocate in juvenile court for the best interests and safety of children ages 17 and younger involved in the court system as victims of abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers gather information, identify resources and work in partnership with all parties to ensure the child’s needs are met.
Treatment
-
Our licensed therapists work with early childhood providers to promote positive social emotional development and behavioral health to help reduce the impact of mental health challenges among young children and their families.
-
Using play in combination with therapy and case management helps children ages 0-5 begin to heal from trauma exposure and prevent future trauma from occurring.
-
You help give children a safe place to tell their story and begin to heal after experiencing abuse or neglect. Our staff works alongside law enforcement, prosecutors, child welfare workers, healthcare professionals, and other service providers to provide support and specialized child advocacy center services while implementing a coordinated team approach aimed at keeping children and families safe and healthy.
